Overview
The M26C TASER is modeled after Taser’s police model M26 ADVANCED TASER. It utilizes the same technology as our law enforcement models providing incredible take down capability.Includes: carrying case, 4cartridges, 8 AA batteries, extra battery magazine. manual, and training materials.
Stun guns are effective personal security weapons and perform similarly to the taser, but the difference is that with the stun gun you have to be next or in very close proximity to your attacker in order to use the stun gun. With a taser, this is not the case. The voltage from a taser can travel up to 15 feet and the more distance I have between me and my attacker the better.
Tasers, as I said, are non-lethal. They use a system of discharging voltage which is conducted over insulated conductive wires to connect with your attacker and discharge an electrical charge which renders the attacker helpless by overpowering the central nervous system. At that point the assailant is unable to move properly and experiences loss of coordination and at this time you are able to get away to safety and contact law enforcement.
Now there are certain laws regarding tasers according to where one lives and you would need to check these out and make sure they are legal in your home area. Also, felons are not allowed to own a taser. There is paperwork to be filled out when purchasing a taser, as the taser uses an anti-felon system and police do track this to make sure there is no misuse of the weapon. However, when used properly for personal security and protection, they are the best!
