A career criminal is revealing his secrets publicly, and they are very interesting.
Kenneth Fields is a self-proclaimed professional burglar, saying he spent much of his life breaking and entering into other people’s homes.
In 1988, he was finally busted and arrested on drug charges. He has spent the years since talking about it.
Fields says experienced burglars work the days closest to the weekend, when people are sloppy with their security. He adds that burglars are always looking for their next victims, such as people who walk out of stores with money in hand. He says if he saw you doing that, he would definitely follow you.
Once at a house, he’d look for clues — such as nice flower pots, expensive kids toys or decorative door wreaths — that there is valuable stuff inside.
And he also said home security systems wouldn’t keep him away because he could always get out before police arrived, but security cameras are a different story.
A security camera expert says burglars tend to stay away from communities where neighbors know each other because they can quickly spot outsiders. And he says nothing beats a good watch dog.

Personal Security Company and perseverance
When we started our online e-commerce business Best Protection several years ago, I had no idea how much work it would take to get known online and to get traffic to our site. But several years later we are still here getting information out to our customers and blog readers in the hope that if we can save just one person from becoming a victim, we can say job well done!
Now I’m not saying I don’t get discouraged at times, as it is hard and time consuming to research all the information and then get it written, but I have one person or should I say something that keeps me going. It is not the internationally known marketers who tell us to press on. It is also not the get rich quick e-mailers that send out daily the many ways to make a gold mine in 30 days or less-which by the way, I haven’t seen work yet. It isn’t even my coaches although I owe them a lot for keeping me on track and giving me so many avenues and ideas to work on. Yup-some more work! No-it’s my dog; and if you haven’t figured out by now I am an avid animal lover.
Now my dog from a puppy on has had this thing about squirrels and he will spend hours chasing and barking at them. His only desire is to successfully remove all squirrels from the planet. Now I know his plan is not feasible and he has never been able to catch even one, but I have to give him credit in that he never ever gives up. Now Bo is going on 11 years old and is a big furry baby. His arthritis bothers him and we both take our arthritis medicine together first thing in the morning. But when that side door opens and he goes out, all thoughts of pain, fatigue, etc. vanish and he rounds the corner of that house like a greyhound. He bounds after those squirrels like he was a young pup and every day he repeats his performance never giving up his dream of catching one of them.
So whenever I feel overwhelmed or feel like there is no way to compete with corporate America, I look at Bo and know that I will keep on and one day I will be the winner and I will succeed. To quit for Bo would be to let squirrels overrun the planet. To quit for me would be to let the criminal get away with a crime. So like my crazy old dog, I will get up tomorrow and thank the Lord for another day to get to write to my readers and get information on safety and security out and hopefully build my fan base. Personal Security: It’s Everyone’s Responsibility
I was going through articles tonight it struck me that one article that I will give you a link to described how a group of neighborhood vehicles were broken into and the criminal caught on video. But what amazed me was that none of the vehicles were locked. This is one of the first safety principles we teach- keep you doors and cars locked at all times. It’s a simple thing to do and yet might have deterred the thief from breaking into a locked vehicle.

Don’t Become a Victim; Educate Yourself on Self Defense and Protection
April is National sexual assault awareness month and I came across an article with video that gives some good information on how women can protect themselves if they are approached or attacked. Whenever I come across information I feel would benefit my readers, I like to share the link to the information so you can benefit as well. Self defense coaches say the most important thing you can do to prevent an attack is to make sure you’re always aware of your surroundings.
If you do get attacked, there are a few things to keep in mind. Start with your stance. One foot behind you and one in front of you gives you the most balance. There are also techniques to get away if someone grabs your wrist, your neck, or the worst case scenario, you end up on the ground.
Though they can teach you moves to defend yourself, self-defense expert Wally Holem says one of the best weapons your have is confidence. “Confidence is huge because, without confidence, you’re just going to collapse mentally and that’s the worst thing that could happen to you on the street, or at your home, if somebody was trying to attack you. You need to stay confident and know that, hey, I can do something,” said Holem.
Holem says even a little training can go a long way, especially because most attackers won’t expect you to know how to fight back.
